week 10 End of Campaign

After 10 grueling weeks of battle and blood shed, the campaign for the Riismark has finally come to an end.

Imperial Chamberlain, the estates of the Riismark are aflame with conflict. Your office has done litte to support the kingdoms of the Riismark. We have seen little support and even less concern on your part as the bread basket of the 100 Kingdoms is torn apart.

The 2 main spires in the region have increased their holdings away from their spires and taken considerable swathes of land. While not engaging in open conflict, they do not seem to be acting in concert. Perhaps we may exploit rifts within the Spires in the future as not all may report to the Directorate we have dealt with in the past. The Western Spire near Nepenthe has done considerably well. Fast and largely successful expansion has seen them as far north as the Coast near Glauburg. The Eastern Spire has been seen holding council with their old creations of the Wadrhun that have spilled over the claustrine gates. Such an unholy alliance must be stopped. The Eastern Spire is referred to by captured Wadrhun as the Crafter’s spire. This spire ahs captured coutless mages and taking great pains not to mortally injure those with magical abilties when engaging lawnd forces of Stattdorf.

The Nords have invaded in numbers greater than anything we have seen before. how they transported the numerous Jotnars from the north to our coasts on those small longboats are beyond me. Initially the Inland kingdoms had a novel strategy of cutting off thier supply routes and burning their longboats to break their morale. The success of this strategy cause the Nords to have no way to leave and thus they have built kingdoms in the interior that look hard to be removed. One such nord led his tribe inwards and has settled land next to the Nepenthe Spire, serving as loyal partner to Stattdorf and useful land buffer. Other Nords have taken to Mercenary work in the Riismark, even being hired by Kingdoms to attack others with their powerful Jotnars. In Hindsight, taking away their access to the Coast might have given them greater cause to stay longer

The Wadrhun under some Tribal leader called Queen Dalla have invaded from the south. Rallying a multicultural band of kingdoms to her banner and to my eternal shame, a principality of humans have willingly joined her. She has conquered land and returned ownership to owners in return for fealty. Her advance was finally stopped when the Dweghom in the Riismark turned their blood thirsty sights on her. A fitting solution for two races bred for battle.

The Dweghom under the leadership of Ebdurhdin have proven faithful throughout the campaign. staying true to my father when he was King and me once I ascended. They have battled the Nords, spires and wadrhun all in the name of the alliance we founded. successfullly capturing lands all over the Riismark

Finally I speak of our Brethren within the 100 Kingdoms. The kingdoms starting in the Riismark united when conflict broke out. This didn’t last long, the kingdom of Vongolia quickly subjugated the southern Spire and antoher Human principality of the Karsin. This victory over the Spire earned him the court rank of Duke, While the 2 spires do not act in concert, the other spire clearly did not want the other kingdoms to see the spires as anything but infallible. The Directorate spire continued to harry the kingdom of vongolia until the end of the campaign.

The other kingdom of Lancastria had secured the northern coast of the Riismark and continously harrassed the Spires throughout the campaign. while unable to successfully invade the nords holding the northern swamps, Lord Anton of Lancastria held the northern regions for the majority of the campaign before his acts of betrayal.

The principality of Karsin was 1 of three original kingdoms forming the central powers. This changed after Vongolia subjugated him and then later on he swore fealty to the Queen Dalla of the Wadrhun.

During the fighting a new kingdom has emerged, that of Almorica. While a small nation it is proof that there is yet hope for the future in the hundred kingdoms and its people will fight to determine its own fate.

At the end of the campaign, the kingdoms of Lancastria and Almorica have turned on me, attempting to take my lands. While unsuccessful, the loss of seasoned knights in both battles have caused the campaign to be forced to end earlier than usual for wintering.

As such, this concludes my report of the Riismark Campaign. I do hope that the land will garner more of your attention and that you would be more forthcoming in sending your legions and aid in the future.
